Meredith Steele is a food and lifestyle photographer, 
cookbook author (Effortless EntertainingCookbook Page 
Street Publishing 2016), and author of SteeleHouseKitchen.com, a SAVEUR Magazine nominated food blog celebrating fresh and natural foods (2009-2018).

 

A former graphic designer specializing in print media, Meredith left the advertising world after her daughter was born prematurely to care for her. After a few years absent form the design field, Meredith had a chance to photograph products for an up and coming organic baby food company and knew instantly that's where she wanted her new path to lead but it didn't automatically begin there. During this time of rediscovery, she dove deep into her love of cooking taking classes and training herself in the art of food and started a food blog. In 2011, she began working full time for Disney Interactive as a recipe developer producing recipes for Disney's editorial and online platforms. During this time she started taking small photography projects for Disney and a few national advertising agencies and her road to photography began. Using her passion for marketing, photography, cooking and design, she soon became a full-time freelance photographer with a food and lifestyle concentration.
